  Instrumental Music Teacher / Band Director - North Middlesex Regional High School

North Middlesex Regional High School


Position Available
North Middlesex Regional High School, as part of the North Middlesex Regional School District, is seeking a qualified applicant to manage all aspects of the Instrumental Music and Band Program in grades 9 – 12. This includes, but is not limited to: Concert Band, Wind Symphony, Piano, Guitar, Music Theory, and Instrumental Techniques. Extra-curricular ensembles include Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Pit Orchestra Director. All Concert Band and Wind Symphony students make up the Pep Band at home football games and also participate annually in the MICCA Concert Festival. The Jazz Band participates in MAJE events, and Marching Band participates in MICCA festivals. Individual students audition for CDMMEA and MMEA festivals. The band director also coordinates the Winter Percussion and Winter Guard programs which participate in the NESBA winter season. The position also requires collaboration with colleagues across the district.

We are seeking a High School Choral Director with a clear understanding of how to teach good vocal pedagogy in the choral setting, knowledge of quality choral literature, how to teach sight-reading and musicianship skills, good interpersonal communication skills and professionalism, and the ability to build and develop a quality choral program.

There are excellent feeder middle school choral programs in place, engaging collegiality in the music department, and there is an abundance of community and administrative support.

Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Music degree; Master's preferred, and must hold a K-12 Music certification in Massachusetts or the qualifications to get license in MA. The position is full-time contractual position with full benefits and will commence in the Fall of 2018.

The South Shore Children's Chorus (SSCC) is seeking a highly-qualified, dedicated, and passionate new team member as the Director for the Sharon Training Choir (singers in Kindergarten – 3rd grade.) SSCC is a community-based choral program made up of singers representing 13 different local cities and towns. SSCC was founded in 2016 in order to provide musical education and vocal training to students living in the South Shore communities and beyond. SSCC keeps the development and well-being of our students as our top priority, and aims to create a safe space and loving community for choristers to learn, to grow, and to find their own voice.

Position Available
The Randolph Community Band is seeking a new Music Director beginning August 2018. The successful candidate must have a strong knowledge of wind band literature. Responsibilities include planning and leading rehearsals, concerts, and providing artistic leadership for the ensemble. Interested candidates must have ensemble conducting experience and be comfortable working with individuals ranging in age and ability from teenagers to senior citizens. It is required that applicants have a degree in music. This is a paid position with a stipend flexible based on experience.
